NBRO EW is a mobile application that allows its users to instantly receive official landslide early warnings and visualize effective warnings overlain on a live location map making it easier for the user to track if the user is within a warning effective area.
Developed by National Building Research Organisation which is the statutory institute for issuing landslide early warning in Sri Lanka, this application enables smooth and speedy dissemination of landslide early warnings to the general public, especially people living in landslide prone areas.
Features of the application include;
• Delivery of landslide early warnings to users instantly
• A detailed view of all issued warnings on Divisional Secretariat Divisional level
• Landslide early warnings effective areas displayed on topographic and satellite maps with user’s live location
• Available in online and offline modes.
